Can you believe we’re already halfway through 2025?
It’s always strange how the middle of the year creeps up on us. One minute we’re ringing in the new year, full of fire and motivation, and the next — it’s summer, and we’re left wondering:
"Am I actually doing the things I said I would?"
Take a breath. This isn’t about guilt or regret — it’s about honesty and ownership. About checking in with yourself before the year runs away. So, how are you doing?
Maybe you’ve made amazing progress and are further along than you expected — in your career, your habits, your health, or your mindset.
Or maybe… like a lot of us… things slipped. Life got busy. Priorities shifted. You started off hot, then cooled off around March, and now you’re not even sure where your planner is.
Wherever you are, let’s be clear on something: there’s still time.
In fact, there’s plenty of it. Six months is a lifetime if you choose to be intentional. But it starts by being honest about where you are right now and whether your daily choices are aligned with the person you said you wanted to become.
This week, I started listening to Never Finished by David Goggins. It’s my second time through it, and it feels even more relevant now. Goggins doesn’t offer sugar coated material. He doesn’t tell you what you want to hear — he tells you what you need to hear:
You always have more in the tank than you think.
Your limits aren’t real. Your comfort zone is lying to you. And discipline, even in the smallest form, is the foundation of self-respect.
Reading it again reminded me how easy it is to coast. How our brains are wired to choose the path of least resistance — even when we know it’s not taking us where we want to go. But Goggins makes it impossible to hide behind excuses. He shines a light on the gap between what you say you want and what you’re actually doing — and then challenges you to close it.
So, as we step into the second half of the year, I want to ask you — and myself:
What are you avoiding that you know would move the needle forward?
What are you doing daily that actually doesn’t serve your goals or future self?
What’s one thing you could recommit to right now that would make December-you proud?
You don’t need a full game plan today. You don’t need perfection. But you do need honesty, courage, and consistency even if it starts with just 10 minutes a day. One hard choice. One healthier boundary. One step outside the comfort zone.
Let’s be real — the second half of 2025 is going to pass by whether you show up for yourself or not. So why not go all in?
Here’s to finishing what we started.
To surprising ourselves with what we’re capable of.
To remembering we’re never finished, we’re always evolving.
